About Us

We Care Cancer Support Inc is a organization who maintains business solely from fund raisers and donations.

Living with cancer can be one of life’s greatest challenges.                         We Care Cancer Support Inc.  offers confidentiality, understanding, and compassion to those with Cancer and will meet the challenge together as no one should face Cancer alone.

When Women and Men are diagnosed with Cancer, they may feel overwhelmed, alone, and vulnerable. Our support Volunteers are Cancer survivors living productive lives who offer support and hope. Talking with one of our volunteers gives comfort in knowing they have the opportunity to as questions and express feelings of concerns and fears in confidence.

We Care Cancer Support, Inc. has been helping cancer patients in the Tri-State area under this banner since 2004. We have always focused on ALL cancers because so many other organizations focus only on breast cancer. We maintain an office at 1225 Hancock Rd. #202  where we are available to meet patients and family members or take calls from those looking for resources. We do not give medical advice. We are here to show compassion and to let them know that there is always help available. Sometimes the newly diagnosed just need to talk through their feelings and fears with someone who cares but is not a loved one. We have brochures on all kinds of cancer and lots of books; all of which are free. As a resource center, we work with the rest of the community and can point patients in the right direction if we are unable to help. We have support group meetings every third Thursday of the month from 11:00-1:00.

Also, in our office, we have a large selection of beautiful new and refurbished wigs which we give to chemotherapy patients. Our staff cosmetologist is available to style the wig or shave the patient’s hair if necessary. We also have a large stock of hats and scarves which many of the ladies prefer to wear either instead of a wig or with one.

“Bottles of Hope” is another of our ongoing projects. We take the actual bottles that chemotherapy medication comes in, and turn those bottles into inspirational gifts covered with clay. These are given to chemotherapy patients at the end of treatment by their oncology nurse. We receive many heartfelt comments from patients even years after their recovery, telling us how much these little gifts meant to them.

Medical and prescription co-pays are sometimes a problem and we help with those as well as gas vouchers if getting to appointments is the problem. We require that the person be in current treatment for cancer, but no financial information is required.

We serve 30 or more clients a month from Bullhead City AZ, Laughlin NV, and Needles, CA. all at no cost to the client. However, because we are a small group funded solely on fundraisers and a few dedicated volunteers, our funds are often limited. This year we plan to increase fund raisers so that we can help these people with more of their daily needs. No matter what though, we have always managed to keep the office open and stocked with wigs, hats, scarves, information and a caring atmosphere. Having volunteers available to talk to newly diagnosed clients about their fears and concerns and then helping them look and feel better as treatment progresses, is the heart and soul of We Care Cancer Support.
